A Test and Trace service designed to control the Covid 19 virus and enable people to live a safer and more normal life has been introduced across England. Local authorities are central to supporting the service. We have developed a tailored Plan, working with stakeholders, which focuses onidentifying and containing potential outbreaks in places such as care homes and schools.

Central to this plan is a team of Practitioners to provide 7 day cover including working regularly at the weekend. We now require an experienced manager to manage and co-ordinate the hub to achieve its expected outcomes. This will include working with senior managers, partners and staff within the organisation, as well as partners in wider organisations to ensure that the Outbreak Control Plan is introduced and implemented effectively for Gloucestershire.

You will have experience of managing a team of staff working in a service where there is media and stakeholder interest in results. You will be accustomed to managing budgets, monitoring and evaluating outcomes, and successfully leading, managing and developing teams to implement key projects.

You will have the ability to manage a complex workload, work well under pressure, be able to meet deadlines and deliver organisational priorities. In addition, you will be calm and focused, have an approachable manner and be able to engage with a range of people positively

The role may require weekend and out of hours working as a key feature of the post.
