The Commissioning Support Officer role will support and assist the placements commissioning process. This may include undertaking placement searches and negotiation activities with providers and Social Work teams and to be involved in a wide range of placement and contract-related activities.

This role will require good communication skills, accuracy under pressure, the ability to meet deadlines and the ability to work within a defined process. This is a demanding post with conflicting demands from social work teams, providers and from line management. You will therefore be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and will have a practical understanding of the placements commissioning process.
