Gloucester City Council vacancy

Gloucester is an amazing City, full of ambition, innovation and creativity whilst steeped in history and heritage. We need someone to help us turn all that into solid economic growth and jobs.

Gloucester City Council is an ambitious local authority that is creating a City that works for everyone. Our ‘Place’ team is currently leading on an exciting regeneration programme, alongside managing future growth through our Economic Growth Strategy.

You will join our City Growth & Delivery service and will be responsible for a broad array of projects and services, including:

  • strengthening our connections with businesses and prospective investors,

  • Improving the skills and employment opportunities for our residents,

  • Researching the Gloucester economy to inform policy and funding bids,

  • Ensuring the delivery of our social value objectives to create local economic opportunities

We’re looking for a creative person who can juggle a diverse portfolio of projects and services. You’ll need to understand economic development and have experience of contributing towards projects that have resulted in generating social value and creating positive change.

We actively encourage agile and flexible working, so whilst you’d be based in Gloucester city centre, we also accommodate home and remote working. You will also have access to an attractive employee offer that includes the purchase of additional leave and subsidised leisure membership.

For an informal discussion, please contact David Evans on 01452 396847.
