Gloucestershire County Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our developing Family Group Conferencing Service. You may already be trained, or will receive training to deliver Family Group Conferences to families with vulnerable children.

You will be required to adhere to established standards and procedures in line with national guidance and best practice in order to improve outcomes for children and young people by enabling families to produce plans, addressing their children's needs.

You will represent the service effectively to other professionals and service users, working respectfully with all parties and communities to promote participation.

The children and families we work with have their own priorities, demands and commitments. Therefore you must be prepared to work flexibly, which will include some evenings and weekends.

The post holder will need to have access to appropriate means of transport to carry out their duties as duties will involve some travel to other offices and venues both within and outside the county.

You will have a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 in the field of children and families and ideally have experience of delivering Family Group Conferences. You will possess good communication skills both written and verbal, with an ability to meet deadlines within a supportive management structure.
