 Our Disabled Children & Young People (DCYP team) is looking to recruit dynamic and adult focused Social Workers with proven experience to join our growing workforce as we work together with the adults and families of Gloucestershire to improve their outcomes and keep them safe. We are always looking for experienced social workers to join our teams, and can offer development and varied opportunities.

The DCYPS 0-25 service is a happy, hard working and dedicated team and you will welcomed into the team and supported to be the best worker you can be.

The team demand high quality work and require their workers to meet tight deadlines. This is an exciting and innovative service that aims to improve the outcomes for all children and young adults with whom they work. The longer term plan is for workers to work across both children’s and adults social care so will need to be willing to use transferable skills and learn and work to differing legislation.

The successful candidate must have experience of a busy Adult team, ideally an LD team and be commensurate with working in a busy office and meeting timeframes for work deadlines. You will have a good working knowledge of transitions and the Care Act. Key aspects of the role will be assessment work and a working knowledge of Dols, MCA and experience of the COP would be required.

  • You will be HCPC registered

  • Passionate about achieving the best outcomes through direct work

  • Creative and credible in your approach

  • Experience of multi agency working

  • Have recent statutory experience of working with adults and young people who are in need and at risk

  • Experience writing assessments and outcome focused plans

  • Recent statutory experience working

  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and research - you’ll be ready to influence and embed positive change
