If so, we have two exciting positions which would suit you. We are seeking to recruit both an enthusiastic Senior Practitioner and an experienced Social Worker to a multi-disciplinary joint NHS, Youth Offending and Social Care casework team.

This newly created team will be part of a developing, dedicated multi-professional IRIS service (including 2 residential children’s homes, therapeutic day provision, specialist foster care, programme and family support) which is seeking to make a real difference to young people’s lives. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a developing team, where you will hold a reduced caseload and work alongside social workers to help coordinate plans whilst young people are part of the IRIS service.

About you

  • You will be HCPC registered

  • Passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work

  • Creative and credible in your approach

  • Experience of multi agency working

  • Have recent statutory experience of working with families and protecting children who are in need and at risk

  • Experience writing assessments and outcome focused plans with children and families

  • Recent statutory experience working with children in care

  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and research - you’ll be ready to influence and embed positive change
