Telecare Gloucestershire provides a variety of electronic assistive technology, such as smoke detectors, falls detectors & medication management devices, to a wide range of people across the County. Through the provision of equipment, the service aims to promote service user’s independence & reduce identified risks, enabling them to remain living more safely in their own homes.
The successful applicant will be expected to install, programme, test, service and maintain the Telecare equipment, for service users across Gloucestershire. The post holder will also hold a small caseload and undertake some new assessments and evaluate assistive technology interventions. This will include working with users who have Dementia, Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities or Mental Health concerns, as well as their family, carers and others involved with their care.
Excellent customer service skills are essential and the ideal candidate will demonstrate a caring and positive approach, as well as being adaptable & flexible. The post holder will have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant field and at least 2 years relevant work experience.
It is essential that we find someone who has an interest in technology and is keen to develop their skills. The ideal candidate may have a background in a technical equipment based, Engineering or electrical field as a technical mind is required to be able to understand the programming of the equipment.
The post holder must have a positive attitude, display confidence and be comfortable talking in front of people.
NOTE – A CURRENT DRIVING LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL IN ORDER TO TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY
