We have a number of vacancies within the Fostering resource; the posts vary from supporting newly approved and established foster carers, ensuring placement stability, to those who look after children and young people with complex needs. Roles are available in the below teams:


Friends & Family Assessment & Support Team (FFAST)


Developed in response to the increasing need for focus and specialism in this important and growing area, the FFAST team undertake Special Guardianship assessments, kinship fostering and Private Fostering arrangements.


Fostering Recruitment Team


Focused on recruiting new foster carers to the service, and working to ensure that they have the best tools and advise to begin their fostering journey


Fostering Support Team


Focused on providing high quality support to existing carers and their families, this team provides supervision to carers. The team is also involved in identifying placements for children, in anticipating vacancies in foster homes and helping with the matching process.


Fostering Placements Team


Focused on support and supervision to foster carers for children and young people who have complex needs. Main focus on placement stability and those that offer emergency/day care support.


These posts involve working within innovative teams and will suit individuals who would enjoy working flexibly towards the team objectives of recruiting and supporting foster carers. The successful candidates will also be working directly with children and young people.


Previous experience of working within a Children’s Social Care setting is essential. You will have a social work qualification, and be HCPC registered. We are looking for dynamic individuals, ideally with experience of working with foster carers or children in care.  Due to the nature of this position, there may be a requirement to occasionally work in the evenings and at weekends.
