Gloucestershire County Council is looking to recruit a dynamic and child focused Deputy Team Manager to join a busy frontline Safeguarding Team in Gloucester City. This team is split into innovative Pods, which are inter-disciplinary focussing on smaller geographic areas and working together as part of a wider city service. There is a focus on joint work, observation and reflective supervision enabling healthy challenge and analysis to ensure high quality assessments and interventions, and creating a much more cohesive and collaborative way of working with the whole family to create sustainable change.
As a Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Team Manager with the performance management of Social Workers to improve outcomes for children and families, to deliver service plans, priorities and strategies consistent with high quality practice. To achieve this you will be responsible for holding reflective supervision with Social Workers, assuring the quality of work, supporting with legal processes, and working to improve the quality of service and outcomes for children and their families.
