Streetcare Client Officer   


Salary package: £28,485 – £30,785 pro rata

29.6 hours per week (4 days)


This is a permanent full time post offered at Grade G for 4 days a week (£28,485 – £30,785) pro-rata.


We are looking for an experienced Streetcare Client Officer to help us ensure compliance and good performance management of Gloucester’s contact with its Streetcare Partner.


The post holder will actively engage with Amey our Streetcare service provider as well internal stakeholders to help manage a £5.5 million a year contract dealing with Waste/Recycling, Street scene and Grounds Maintenance.


It is an interesting time to be working in Gloucester with the Streetcare contract coming up for renewal in 4 years time. The post holder will, in the lead up to the re-tender be actively involved in the process as part of a wider team. There is also the potential for some of the Streetcare services to be managed by the Joint Waste Partnership (a County based body that looks after waste management of other Districts within Gloucestershire). The post holder will also be involved in this process


The post holder will work within the City Improvement and Environment Service alongside a diverse team of professionals that includes tree officers, countryside managers, waste/recycling managers and more general city improvement officers. The post itself will be based at the Amey depot on Eastern Avenue where a team of 4 City Council employees sit.


The applicant should have some experience of contract and performance management and be familiar with local government working practices.
