Gloucestershire’s Integrated Brokerage Team is looking for a Commissioning Officer who will support the commissioning of placements in residential and nursing homes and packages of support for people in their own homes.


The post holders will work as part of a team of Commissioning Officers to manage and quality assure provision that meet the needs of vulnerable service users.  The role will include monitoring contract delivery and provider information on an ongoing basis for those providing placements for adults in need of care and support.  This is a dynamic position and you will be expected to multitask, highlighting opportunities and risks to managers and Lead Commissioners as appropriate. 


You will need to be flexible, resilient, organised and calm under pressure.  You should also be willing to take on new challenges as they arise.  Experience of working with providers and of commissioning care and support for individuals would be an advantage but is not essential. 


The role is a permanent position.
