Our ASYE training programme will enable you to work on the front line alongside experienced and established Social Workers within your team who will help to mentor and guide you as you build your knowledge and skills. Further to this our Practice Learning Team will provide bespoke planned support to ensure you achieve your potential.
Our children’s teams include our Assessment Teams; who respond to initial child protection enquiries, our Safeguarding Teams; who work with children and families who require further social work intervention and our Permanence Teams who develop and deliver longer term care plans with children through foster care or adoption. All teams are located across the county to best support the needs of the children and families in each community. We have a variety of roles available in across Gloucestershire.

- Hold a recognised Social Work qualification
- You will be HCPC registered
- Be Enthusiastic about achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
- Be able to demonstrate creativity and credibility in your approach
- Have some experience of multi agency working
- Have recent experience of working with families and protecting children who are in need and at risk
- Have some experience in writing coherent assessments and outcome focused plans with children and families
- Have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and research - you’ll be ready to influence and embed positive change
- A comprehensive ASYE training programme
