We’re working hard to further improve our service for children and families across Gloucestershire. With a dedicated Emergency Duty Team providing emergency social work from 4.45pm-8.45am Monday to Friday and weekend and bank holiday cover as per the pre agreed rota. This post involvesworking alternate shifts in conjunction with another team member.


To ensure full duty cover at times of staff shortfall we are seeking to increase our pool of practitioners on a Zero hours contract. To work on an ad hoc as needed basis to cover staff shortfall.

For this role you must hold the following:

  • A registered professional social work qualification

  • Registration with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC)

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an Emergency Duty Team ensuring effective safeguarding and protection of children and provision of services to vulnerable adults. You must be able to work independently and be an effective communicator.
