Gloucester is a small, historic and vibrant city on the edge of the Cotswolds and conveniently located along the M5 with good transport links to the rest of the country. Our offices are located in the historic dock area of the City and close to the City Centre.
Working generically you will be primarily responsible for the wide range of traditional environmental health functions and you will be working alongside colleagues with backgrounds in community safety, partnerships & engagement. You will be working within a Community Wellbeing Team consisting of 12 officers and will report to our Senior Community Wellbeing Officer.
You must hold a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or a Higher Certificate in Food Control, ideally EHORB Registered, have up to date food safety competency and have proven recent experience in one or more of the other environmental health disciplines. You will possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills, and be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
