Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service are seeking to recruit a Fleet & Equipment Manager based at our Headquarters near Gloucester.


 


The key function of the role is to manage all aspects of the County Council diverse fleet. The role requires a person with a high level of knowledge and understanding of fleet management systems and the strategic management of a diverse operating fleet.


The post holder will be required to develop and operate an efficient fleet and equipment maintenance service in accordance with the agreed budget, statutory duties and VOSA compliance regulations.


 


The successful applicant will therefore ideally possess the following skills or experience:


• In depth fleet management and supervision experience


• Experience of managing a mixed fleet and ancillary equipment.


• Specification and procurement of specialist vehicles within EU procurement regulations.


• Hold a current National Goods Vehicle CPC


• Financial and budgetary management skills.
