We have full time social worker positions available in our thriving Tewkesbury locality team.


The Tewkesbury Team are made up of a supportive management structure including: an integrated social care manager, a deputy social care manager and four advanced practitioners. It also comprises of around 20 other staff, both unqualified assessors and qualified social workers. We are looking for someone to join this supportive and knowledgeable team.


The right candidate will have completed their assessed and supported year of employment (ASYE) and have up to date knowledge of current legislation. You must of course have a person centred approach to practice, supporting people to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. As an authority, we encourage you to achieve these aims through building strong links in the community and through offering you the development to ensure your practice is up to date and good quality.


The Adult Social Care Career Framework outlines the opportunities for progression and development when working at Gloucestershire County Council. We offer staff opportunities for professional development that are flexible and specific to your training needs, including personal licences to Adults CCINFORM, access to mandatory training and additional topical bi-annual workshops. In addition to this, we also offer staff a transfer option after 2 years in post, which would allow you to continuously develop your skills and knowledge in a different Adult Social Care setting.
