The Children and Families Commissioning Hub are delighted to advertise for a new Commissioning Officer to join the team based at Shire Hall in Gloucester.

We work very closely with our partners across the health, education and social care community to achieve improved outcomes for children and families. We have now progressed to an integrated commissioning hub arrangement to ensure that the clinical commissioning group and county council’s objectives are aligned.

As a Commissioning Officer you will get the opportunity to work on a number of different projects and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to help improve outcomes for children and families.

As a new Commissioning Officer you will be expected to support the 29 de-designated children’s centres across the county. This post will audit, evaluate and undertake some business planning and sustainability forecasting. You will be required to link these buildings together to form a network of constituted groups to allow bidding and fundraising of funds. This post holder will support bid writing with these settings as well as building business and community links so any experience in this area would be desirable.

You must have an eye for detail, be creative and capable with applications such as power point and excel, with the drive to learn new skills and the ability to work with a number of different sites. You must have experience of project management.
