This is an exciting opportunity to join the Civil Protection Team in Gloucestershire. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Civil Protection Officer to work as part of the Team to deliver all aspects of emergency planning, response and business continuity within the Council ensuring compliancy with its duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.


You will have a background working in an environment where emotional resilience and the ability to respond to the demands of unpredictable and unplanned events, requiring a shift of priorities, is required.


Based in Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Headquarters, you’ll be working closely with the Local Resilience Forum and partner responding agencies, building relationships, offering training and advice and delivering emergency planning and business continuity support for client organisations under Service Level Agreements.


You will be a highly motivated individual with strong organisational and communication skills, able to deliver on a range of projects and who is keen to learn and develop within the role.


Your responsibilities will include preparation and maintenance of emergency plans, preparation and delivery of exercises, providing business continuity advice and guidance, providing advice and guidance to tactical/strategic officers and secretariat support to Gloucestershire PREVENT Partnership Board.

Full time / Part Time / Job Share considered.
