Domestic Abuse Behavioural Change Advisor & Group Facilitator

We are looking for a female Domestic Abuse Behavioural Change Advisor & Group Facilitator for 18 hours a week preferably over 2 days. This rewarding role involves both the delivery of an accredited programme of group work twice a week on two evenings in Gloucestershire and also providing 1-2-1 support for people not suitable or not yet suitable for the accredited programme. This 1-2-1 support will be culturally flexible, appropriate, accessible and equitable to people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities and sexual orientations. There may be additional opportunities for sessional programme delivery.

The programme aims to help men to change harmful behaviour by providing a voluntary structured 25 week programme for perpetrators, with an integrated women’s safety worker to provide information and advice to the victims to enable them to live their lives free from fear.

Applicants must have a sound knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact and significant experience of delivering cognitive behaviour group programmes. Team work and writing accurate records and reports are essential to the role.
