The Fostering Recruitment Team is looking for a dynamic individual, ideally with experience of working with foster carers or children in care. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to use your initiative whilst also being a team player. This post involves working within an innovative team responsible for the recruitment of foster carers and their support within the first year of approval. Due to the nature of the team responsibilities and objectives the successful applicant will be required to work in the evening and at weekends on occasions.

An exciting opportunity exists for a full time (37 hours) Fostering Family Support Worker (Level 3) to join the Fostering Recruitment Team (FRT). The post includes direct work with chidren and their families (parenting, anger management, resilience and keep safe work). You will as a Fostering Family Support Worker work closely with the allocated supervising social worker to help make plans for children and young people who have identified as being in need of support so that they can remain living with their fostering family.

We are looking for a Fostering Family Support Worker in our Fostering Recruitment Team ideally with fostering experience, who is able to influence through positive direct work. You will support the recruitment of foster carers and lead on support to foster carers within their first year, in partnership with colleagues from CYPS.

This busy but supportive team is committed to working with children and their families on a multi-agency, preventive basis to improve outcomes for children. You will be required to be involved in a team duty rota, be flexible of working outside the core hours 9-5, to provide support to known foster families.

You will have a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and / or have significant experience of working within the children and families field. You will possess good communication skills both written and verbal, with an ability to meet deadlines within a supportive management structure.
