As part of GCC’s on-going response to the changes outlined in the SEND Code of Practice and the duty to provide statutory support for children and young people from 0 to 25 years we have recently redesigned our Special Educational Needs Service.

The SEND Case Coordination team is part of Gloucestershire’s Children with Additional Needs Service.

The role of the team is to ensure that the Council fulfils its statutory duties set out in the Children and Families Act 2014 and Code of Practice 2015 and to improve outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

As a SEND Coordinator you will work within statutory requirements and timeframes in the preparation, review and amendments of statutory plans (EHCPs). You will also provide advice and guidance to young people and parents/carers regarding options available to them in education, training or employment and support in transition planning.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and proactive person to join this busy team.

You will be supporting the EHCP Annual Review Officer to ensure that Annual Reviews are recorded and are actioned within the statutory requirements and legislative timeframes.
