Wheatridge Court offers bed based reablement to adults with physical disabilities and/or visual/hearing impairment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual who, following induction will be able to time manage their work and be able to demonstrate initiative.

It is essential that a calm, friendly manner is present and that good communication skills are displayed to individuals using the service, visitors and colleagues.

The successful candidate will, under the direction, supervision and with the support of the Manager and R.S.W staff group, participate in the creation of a flexible environment, which responds to the specific and singular needs of the individuals within our service. Inherent in this philosophy is the need to create an environment, which recognises the right of people with disabilities to live as independently as possible.

The successful candidate will complete tasks delegated by the shift leader or management during the day to day operation of the unit and ensure these responsibilities are carried out in accordance with Departmental Policies and instructions, and within Registration and Inspection requirements. This will include undertaking personal care tasks and moving & handling procedures.

Flexibility for working hours and availability at short notice is essential within this role. Shifts will be variable from Monday-Sunday and consist predominantly of the following shifts:

Early (8am-2pm)
Late (2pm-8pm)
Day (8am-8pm)
Night (8pm-8am)
