The role of Service Manager: 

We are looking for a service manager with extensive experience to drive forward delivery of our improvements; ensuring outcomes are achieved within timescales. You will provide visible leadership, celebrating high quality practice and seeking continuous improvement across the service. The multi-agency reviewing service manager leads the Independent Reviewing Team, Child Protection Conferencing Team, and Allegations Management Team in the delivery of our responsibilities for safeguarding and children in care practices. You will be driving quality and performance in how we work to ensure consistency, timeliness and quality of interventions across the service whilst considering how we can improve and shape the service further.

To undertake this role with us we need:

  • Your extensive front line experience as a qualified and registered social worker

  • Your leadership experience including mentoring / coaching to support your team

  • You to provide high level support and challenge to colleagues to foster a learning culture

  • You to also bring persistence to manage situations of a challenging nature

  • Your drive to ensure children and young people’s voice and experience are central to their plans and service development

  • You to contribute to Quality Assurance, performance monitoring, audit and improvement alongside staff and leaders in Children’s Services.
