Passion, enthusiasm, people person, pride in our city – do you believe you possess these qualities?

Gloucester City Council’s Visitor Experience Team is looking for a Level 3 Visitor Experience Apprentice to support the development and delivery of the service. This hands-on role will be the face of the Museum of Gloucester and Tourist Information and we are now looking for an individual to join our friendly, focused and experienced team to help assist us in sharing the story of what has been and what is to come for the City of Gloucester.

You will gain experience in not only front facing service delivery, but you will have the opportunity to support the service in improving its retail offer, customer service standards, through education and engagement, learning and events as well as supporting the service in developing its work behind the scenes.

You need to be proud to promote the history and heritage of our city as well as showcase the culture on offer in Gloucester. In 2019, the Tourist Information Centre moved into the Museum of Gloucester and joined forces to promote this wonderful cultural venue as well as the historic city and the wider area. The apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to work across both parts of the service.

The role requires flexibility as in the space of a day you could be providing visitor information, telling stories about Museum objects, collecting service data for analysis, supporting exhibition installation, preparing for event delivery as well as managing a number of projects – where else can you find such variety?!

As part of the apprenticeship, you will complete a Level 3 Customer Service Specialist qualification in conjunction with Gloucestershire College.

If you require further information about the role, please contact John Riley- Visitor Experience Team Leader on 01452 396579.

Closing date: Friday 2nd October 2020
