If you can answer yes to these questions, you could be exactly what we are looking for.
The Countywide Contact Team provides supervisors to observe contact for parents and families where the children are living in Care or there are safeguarding concerns regarding these children.
Detailed observations and knowledge of safeguarding children are essential. The applicant should be competent in report writing and be computer literate because you will need to write reports that are presented to Court. You will be required to attend Court and multiagency meetings.
Some transportation of children may be necessary.
This is not a 9 – 5 post as contacts are varied throughout the day and the busiest times are from 3pm – 7pm and during the School holidays. It is therefore essential that candidates are available at these times. There is flexibility within the role and personal circumstances can be negotiated at interview.
Full training, mentoring and shadowing opportunities are offered as part of the induction.
NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent is required in child care for the higher salary grading. Applications are welcomed from people without job specific qualifications also but will be subject to training and lower salary grading.
Grade F (Unqualified)- £21,748-£23,080.
Grade H (Qualified)- £26,511-£29,577.
Position is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
