Role: Supervising Social Worker

We are looking for Social workers in the following teams:


Fostering Recruitment Team:  recruitment, assessment, support and training of new foster carers.


Friends and Family Assessment and Support Team: assessment and support of family carers, including kinship and Special Guardianship Order applicants.


Fostering Support Team: ongoing support and training of all foster carers.


In-House Placement Finding Team: ongoing support and training of our higher band carers and specialist provision carers.


About you/ Your role: If you are highly motivated and would like to join a friendly Fostering Service where we you will receive regular reflective supervision, evidence based training and support to develop and progress, then please contact us.  You’ll need to be familiar with fostering Form F assessments, the recruitment process for prospective foster carers, have knowledge of annual reviews and support /supervision of our valued resource of foster carers. 


You will be familiar with the relevant legislative processes relating to Fostering, have a positive attitude, good problem solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.


As well as the above you will;



  •  Have a recognised qualification in Social Work

  • Social Work England registration

  • To have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)

  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive

  • DBS clearance
