We are on the lookout for  a resilient and driven Team Manager to join our Independent Reviewing Service. We are looking for someone who can play their part in making our vision for children’s services a success. You will be instrumental in delivering a first-class service which will deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people of Gloucestershire.

Your Role: You will be joining a new management team at an exciting time and will be responsible for managing and supporting a team of Independent Safeguarding and Reviewing Officers. The Reviewing Service is lead by an Service Manager and includes 2 large teams of Independent Safeguarding and Reviewing Officers. One team focuses on work with children subject to child protection plans and one team focuses on work with children in care. This post focuses on managing the team overseeing and scrutinising the care plans for young people, ensuring that everyone involved with that child’s life fulfils their responsibilities. As we work to improve standards across the authority, your role will be critical to our improvement journey. You will lead on the implementation of the team plan with a focus on excellent participation and ensuring children benefit from good planning and achieve timely permanence.   You will be committed to a restorative approach, providing high support alongside high challenge and creating an inclusive culture where practitioners can flourish.  


To be successfully appointed, you will also require:



  • A recognised qualification in Social Work

  • Social Work England registration

  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive

  • DBS clearance
