You must be customer focussed with a professional telephone manner and excellent all round communication skills.
A ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a busy team environment is essential.
The successful candidate will need to be able to confidently use a range of IT based systems and databases and have experience of Microsoft Office Packages, e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook.
You will be required to undertake a wide range of administration support duties these include:-
Monitoring and responding to enquiries via generic mailboxes
Processing purchase order requests
Accurately updating electronic records
Database & spreadsheet data entry and filtering
Diary management: arranging meetings, room hire and catering requests
Provide miscellaneous administration support as and when required to do so.
The role is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester. However, at present, staff are partially working from home using GCC provided secure IT, occasional home working will be a requirement. You will need to attend the office for training and will be expected to work predominantly from the office base in future, subject to the needs of the service.
