We are looking for a Lead Enterprise Architect with expert knowledge and experience in driving technology strategy to join the newly formed Strategy and Architecture team. We are building this new in-house architectural function from scratch, which gives the successful candidate an opportunity to influence the future digital direction of the organisation based on best practice and innovative solutions.
You will be a key player in the development, identification and future planning of the enterprise architecture of the Council. You will be part of a team that drives and builds our architecture practice and will be highly skilled and qualified in your own specialist area, which will enable us to provide the support, guidance and expertise needed to manage in-house technical specialists and those from outsourced managed providers.
The successful candidate will:
- Work with in-house and outsourced technical specialists
- Collaborate with business representatives and other stakeholders
- Ensure architectural practice is aligned to our design principles
- Develop and maintain our technical and digital roadmaps
- Provide insights into existing and emerging technologies
- Develop and present business cases for high-level initiatives
You will be a confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and determined individual who is well organised and able to balance competing demands to meet tight timescales. You will be a customer focused, organised and tenacious individual who has extensive experience and a proven track record of working within an enterprise architecture role. You will have excellent written communications skills and experience of stakeholder management.
