This is a chace to deliver high quality fraud investigation and counter fraud activities within our Audit, Risk and Assurance Shared Service (ARA) partner organisations and external clients.


We are looking to recruit a Counter Fraud Senior Auditor who is self motivated with a positive, flexible approach and willingness to contribute towards our excellent reputation for providing respected audit, counter fraud, risk and assurance services.


The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for the Counter Fraud portfolio within the Shared Service. Reporting to the Principal Auditor (Counter Fraud), responsibilities include (but will not be exclusive to) planning and delivering a range of assignments in the specialist area of fraud prevention, detection and investigation, and audit of the partner and client organisationcontrol environments in accordance with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and relevant codes of practice in relation to fraud. Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential, as you will have significant exposure to Members, senior officers and stakeholders within the ARA partners and clients.


The successful candidate will have knowledge, skills or experience in counter fraud activity and fraud investigations and/or internal audit. You will also have a genuine interest in developing a career in counter fraud. We welcome applications from those who are studying or willing to study for a recognised counter fraud qualification. Experience of Local Government/Public Sector will be an advantage.
