These vacancies are for Cathedral View in Gloucester, a 9 bedded short break and Emergency unit, but you may occasionally be expected to work at The Vicarage in Cheltenham and Longhouse in Stroud. 

There are two posts: Grade 6 - £23,541 – £25,991 pro rata  

Post 1 - 24hrs per week  Post 2 - 25hrs per week on a shift basis plus 1/3 enhancement for hours worked 8pm – 6am plus 1/3 enhancements paid for all hours worked at the weekend. 

We are looking for someone to work in Gloucestershire County Council’s short breaks units for adults with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team on a shift basis, including weekends and sleep in duties. To assist in creating and maintaining a positive, caring and stimulating environment, to meet the emotional, physical and psychological needs of adults with a learning disability.

The ideal candidate will take up delegated responsibilities to ensure the day to day running of the unit; including being a keyworker, personal care, following care plans and risk assessments & administering medication. We are looking for someone with good organisational abilities, fantastic communication skills and someone with a keen eye for detail.
