Peer Worker Autism Specialist
Salary: £16,253 (pro rata) per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 20-hour per week Peer Worker role specialising in the field of Autism and being part of the Independence Trust Autism team.
You will work with individuals and groups with a diagnosis of Autism to develop and deliver the service across the county. This will include developing peer support based on common interest and a 1:1 mentoring / buddy programme, to provide individual support in the community. You will also support individuals and families post diagnosis with information that supports the understanding of Autism and the impact if can have on both the individual and the families.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate and with experience of working in the field of Autism. Preferably you will have or be working towards a minimum of Level 2 in Autism. You will also have some experience of working with families of those with a diagnosis of Autism.
You will be based in Gloucester but will be expected to travel across the county as required.
