Gloucestershire County Council’s Children and Families Commissioning Hub is looking to recruit a Commissioning Support Officer specifically to work a new government funded initiative around an out of school term food and holiday activity programme aimed at children who are eligible to FSM’s.

You will ideally be someone who has some experience of working with commissioned services and or the development of new and innovative programmes as well as a desire to develop those skills further.


What is more important is that the candidates are enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills, has an ability to show empathy, and passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families.


We are looking for individuals who have the drive to provide a pro-active approach to the Holiday and Food programme across Gloucestershire. Successful applicants will work as part of a project team to deliver this project across Gloucestershire. The successful candidates will need to work with providers of activities in the community and voluntary sector to support the mapping and highlighting of gaps that need commissioning as well as working with the database lead to ensure the information on there is concise and accessible for parents.


The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable to change and will have a strong commitment to continuous professional development.


The posts will sit in the Children and Families Commissioning Hub but working across the county is essential.
