: Gloucester Shopmobility is a centrally located service that provides equipment to assist people explore the city in a way that is accessible for them. Not only do we have an impressive fleet of accessibility equipment, we have a well-loved bric-a-brac shop where visitors can hunt for a bargain. From books & clothes to toys & games, it is truly an Aladdin’s Cave! We are now on the look-out for someone with great customer service skills to join our small & friendly team. If you’re someone with great people skills who enjoys a varied role & wants to make a difference to people’s lives & how they explore the city of Gloucester, we want to hear from you!

We can guarantee you that every single day will be different. You will be involved with moving, displaying & cleaning hire equipment ready for the day ahead, working in the office processing payments & memberships & answering the phones, picking up back-office tasks as well as providing a warm, welcoming & knowledgeable service to our visitors.

Skills: First things first, top quality customer service is an absolute must – we pride ourselves in delivering memorable experiences for our customers. In addition to serving our customers, you will also be assisting with the hire & maintenance of mobility equipment, making sure our bric-a-brac shop is in tip top condition & handling payments (both cash & card), so a keen eye & attention to detail is also important. Don’t worry, we will provide you with all the training you need to look after & manage our equipment, but previous skills in a Shopmobility setting would be a bonus! There may be other activities that we may need your support with so a flexible approach to your day will also be required. You will be working alongside the Shopmobility Team Leader if on shift or another member of Shopmobility staff, however having the confidence to take responsibility if your colleagues are dealing with a customer is also a must!
