Commissioning Support Officer Prevention, Wellbeing and Communities Hub based in Gloucester

Grade 6 scp 15-20 (old grade G): £22,911 - £25,295

We are recruiting a permanent full-time Commissioning Support Officer to support a number of Public Health programmes.

The post-holder will be primarily responsible for supporting the Public Health Enhanced Services contracts with GPs and Pharmacies. The successful candidate will be required to communicate with service providers around activity and payments, maintain contractual paperwork and ensure timely receipt of invoices and preparation of payments. This will also involve maintaining the existing payment and activity record system.

To do this role effectively you will need to:

  • Have excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work to deadlines.

  • Have good interpersonal skills.

  • Be confident dealing with service providers on the phone.

  • Have strong Excell skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Have experience or willingness to learn about local authority purchasing and payment systems such as SAP.

Knowledge of Public Health is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will receive full induction and support to fulfill this role.
