Are you inquisitive? Like to challenge current operations? Do you like to see how behind the scenes administration plays a key role in front line delivery?...

Gloucester City Council’s Cultural Services Team are looking for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to support the development and delivery of the service. This hands-on role will work behind the scenes to ensure that everything is in place to support the delivery of our front-facing venues – which includes Gloucester Guildhall, Blackfriars Priory, the Museum of Gloucester, Tourist Information and Shopmobility.

You will provide business administration in a number of areas including live events, weddings, guided tours, exhibitions, purchasing of goods and services, collecting data for service development to name a few. You will also lead on the room bookings administration ensuring that corporate hirers are provided with all booking information in advance, that invoices are raised and payments received and follow up with communication on how their experiences with the service.

You will lead on a number of service improvement projects which may involve researching, streamlining of processes and production of training guides.

We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, methodical in their approach and is not afraid to challenge our operation and suggest service improvements. You will be relied upon to provide administration across a number of venues therefore skills in prioritisation and organisational are essential and you need to be a team player and take responsibility for your work.

Without administers working behind the scenes, our cultural venues could not successfully operate, so if you want to feel accomplished in knowing that you are playing a key role in providing culture in the City of Gloucester, then this could be the apprenticeship for you.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification in conjunction with Adult Education.

If you require further information about the role, please contact Lucy Chilton - Visitor Experience Manager on 01452 396570.
